How to care for your jewel: When cared for and stored properly, fresh water pearls will retain their luster and nacre for a long time. Gently rub the pearl using a soft, damp cloth to remove surface debris that may accumulate, such as dust, perfume and makeup. Be sure to completely dry the pearl to avoid thread deterioration. Gently wipe pearl with a soft cloth as soon as you take the necklace off and before putting them into storage. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
